In the interview they talk about Lorde lyrics being teen poetry. I think they are right! Most songs now a days are about all these bad things like what Miley Cyrus sings. But Lorde songs are pretty good and lots of people like her music because she actually writes most of her music. Miley Cyrus music does qualify as poetry but its not the good type of poetry her music isn't good at all it does catch lots of peoples attention but not in a good way like some of the other artists.

And she writes her own songs and Miley Cyrus she texted Lorde. and there comparing them and how Lorde is a poet but Miley Cyrus is just writing for fun and to be heard. Lorde writes her own lyrics and I say yes it's a teen poetry because she takes her time in her room to write these songs. Miley Cyrus No because she only writes about parting and having fun.
ReplyDeleteI personally think that Lorde and Miley Cyrus are both great artist and singers but their is a difference with both of them. One uses her own lyrics and the other, who knows where she gets them from. Lorde uses teen poetry and as for Miley, i don't know if she uses teen poetry or not. Lorded wants to be original and and uses teen poetry and I don't know what teen poetry is but I think it's a good thing

The article was saying that Lorde's lyrics are teen poetry. I think that Miley's song don't really have poetry in her songs, because their not that good. I think that Lorde's songs are usually mature, but Miley's songs aren't that mature.

ReplyDeleteI think that some teen songs can be poetry because like what Lorde sings it can be poetry. She doesn't sing like any teens today she sings lyrics that can be poetry lyrics.
ReplyDeletePop, can it be poetry or just another song like others? Lord is a new singer and is making poetry. I think that she is making poetry cause it is talking about her life. I think the teenage life is hared then it is and very complex about life. Miley Cyrus kinda dose make some poetry and it is pretty good and talks about her life to.
