Review of complex sentences! Can you use them?
No body freaks out about it because the players are out there to have fun. They don't really care about winning, they go out there and do there best and if they lose by a lot of points it doesn't matter as ling as they had fun, and did there best. The players are always so happy about the game they don't care if they win or lose. All that matters is that they had fun. People know the players do there best and that's why they don't freak out when they lose all the time, they know that they just want to have fun.
ReplyDeleteI think its fine i just think they need to spend more time on doing every thing that the school wants to do.
ReplyDeleteThey didnt think anything was bad about that because the girls were just like any regular girls. They never did anything bad. Plus it was many girls that had problems with family. And were sent there. So there for people didn't think anything was bad.
ReplyDeleteA young girl who has a hard life doesn't give up. She doesn't give up because even when they are losing a game she still tries. Hannah scored a team-high 10 points in a game, but her high-arcing 3-point shot was not falling today. She was the youngest player and was scoring more than her team mates. Even when you are having a hard time, never give up.
ReplyDeleteLosing isn't wrong. The girls at Carroll Academy, play because they are made to while they stay there. Hannah and all of the other people there, are there because of problems with their parents. They have no where else to go so they have to be there. It's just a game so why would it matter.
ReplyDeleteHannah has had it really hard for a girl both her parents on pain pills fighting going to jail. That's not a childhood that any kid should have to deal with but it's often that parents end up messing up now a days losing their own kids to be put in the system. Why have kids if your going to be doing drugs and causing problems for them they need their parent in their life. Maybe because the parent didn't didn't have their father or mother in their life doesn't mean it has to be like that for their kid. What kind child would like to have a parent that's always getting high and acting a fool? That's why people need to clean up and get their life together.
ReplyDeleteWhy people don't care if they lose or when is because, most of the students in Carroll Academy have some sort of problem at home. Losing doesn't matter to the Academy, it helps there release stress or anything from their system playing basketball. When I play basketball it helps me when I'm angry, sad, or even when I have a lot of stress. Maybe the Academy only wants to help the student do better in school and emotionally.
ReplyDeletePlaying 213 games and have not won any is that bad? Hannah has been in a rough situation nobody in the house hold cares about her. Having to play a sport or a hobby you like and nobody going to see you play can be rough , not having the support you need.Having family problems at home is hard to notice what you're doing in you on life. Having lost so many games is not that bad at least they have not given up.
ReplyDeleteThe girls team usually loses by about 50 every game. There really is no reason that is not fair. The school has a little amount of girls attending that school. Therefore, there might not be a lot of talent among the girls. All in all, the girls team needs more girls with talent, they cant do that unless they have more girls.
ReplyDeleteWell you see, in this school that they go to it is for troubled girls and maybe the reason they lose all the time is that they don't work together, or they just have family issues, or they can communicate. One of the girls isn't that troubled, she just has a lot of stuff going on in her family. Also they probably don't practice and don't work as a team when they play, and well you see I play basketball and you need all those things that I said especially communication.
ReplyDeleteCarroll is living in a unsafe environment, her family is falling apart and the only thing keeping her together is here basketball team, and here coach. Loosing 213 games in a row could be a really sad depressing situation, or you could turn it to a positive energy environment. These girls on this team only have each other and there guidance of there coach. Even if it means loosing every game they play. Avoiding trouble and doing a activity with the people you love is more time consuming and you create relationships, and trust. This also creates comfort for these girls on the team.
