In the first paragraph it says that people were chosen to carry out he coffin and the people who were chosen said they were happy and that they had to dress there best for the president. In the last paragraph the marines say that after all these years they're happy they did that and that they were still scared but that the president was a big comfort for them.

The marines where there and had to look there best because they have to look good in front of the white house to show some respect to the white house. Another reason why they have to look good is because that was the president that's was just murderer and they have to show respect to because no matter who the person is, you always got show respect.

Being well dressed shows a sign of respect and honor because if you go a funeral looking like trash that shows how disrespectful you are. Marines always look their best for even the slightest special occasion to show their respect and honor for that person.

Kennedy's death and who were chosen to carry his casket and the marines who carried him in his casket said that they were happy that they got to carry the president. The marines were scared at first because they might of dropped him but they didn't and today they marines are happy they did it.
