Last class we talked about analysis and objective writing. Today after reading an article, you will write an analysis paragraph in eight-sentence paragraph format (topic, concrete detail, comm. comm. etc.).Here is the article for today. Read the introduction then choose one of the articles on the right side to read then write about.
Remember that in analysis writing I want to hear your opinion, your thinking, what you think the article means; not just what it was about.
I think to be Miss America would be fun. In this story this lady get's to be Miss America she gets to travel to lots of places. Like she said she went to 40 states and 18-36 cites she would be in lots of places in one day. And she got to go to the white house and she got to introduce president George W. Bush which would of been a great honor I'm guessing. It seems to me the being Miss America is a lot of work.
ReplyDeleteyes things have changed everyone is allowed to enter the beauty pageant now all races and nationality are allowed to enter the beauty pageant there's no more racism against the girls that enter the pageant even though the judges are still picky they treat everyone the same and they choose the best one there is no matter there color race or nationality

ReplyDeleteI dont think that they should give so much money to miss america. The reason for that is is because there only pretty what else are they good for. They should not give them so much. They should give money for something else. They need to give more money for people who actually do something that they work hard at. When people see there show there gonna think being pretty is all that matters. I think they should keep it but not give so much money.
what i think about this article is that she never gave up on something she wanted to be. On my opinion about beauty pageants is not a bad thing because the amount of money you get if you win. Beauty pageants started in 1921 as a thing to attract tourist. The young Miss.America 2001 went big she became very famous, she was speaking in very big places like the pentagon, the white house and many more but what I think is the most important thing about this is that she never gave up on what she wanted to be.
ReplyDeleteThe article that i read about the first Asian miss America was really interesting. I think she did a good job on using her money right. I think that she was really happy how she became the first Asian miss america. I think that miss America was a really good program for women to enter from all kinds of races. I also think that miss America lets women have fun and do something.
ReplyDeleteThere are women trying to be Miss America 2014 and there isn't that many contestants and so i think its not going to be very hard to win.
ReplyDeleteThis articular is taking about her thinking she never had a chance to be Miss America. She has has no idea that she would ever win. She was apart of American history because she was the first Asian miss America.
ReplyDeletedo you need to be beautiful to get in the miss America? the answer is not you need to be smart this it not like other country that they look for beauty and not on the woman level and other country are more focus on the beauty of the woman and what can they do and American they are looking for what the woman can do they are looking for smartness
