Tips are good. If the people you're giving the tip to deserve it. If they don't deserve it then they shouldn't get one. Tips are okay to give if the people earn it.
The article we read was about tips. And I in general think that tips are good for people when handed to them. Another thing is that in the beginning the article brought up something that had to do with fame. And it might be true that you can get recognized for just putting tips in one place.
To get a better service in a restaurant you have to be famous or spend a lot of money on wine. According to one study, lots of people are just sticking with a reasonable percentage through good nights and bad. Some servers do try to sniff out stingy tippers, based on age, race, gender and other traits. It is irrational, outdated, ineffective, confusing, prone to abuse and sometimes discriminatory. The people who take care of the costumers in restaurants deserve a better system.
People aren't getting paid what they should be getting paid for the type of work that they do in restaurant business study's show that people aren't tipping enough. I believe the people who take care of us in restaurants deserve a better tip, and so do we. I hate when the service is bad that why I when I leave my tip it's always around $5 just to show that I'm not a jerk and am willing to leave them with somewhat enough for a drink and some chips. :)
It is always good to leave a good tip. But it is also good to tip on good or bad service. It doesn't matter what race,age,or gender it just matters that they gave you the service. They always ask for ten percent but you could give more or less. So if you want go service you need to be famous or be a VIP. So remember always give a good tip.

tips should be eliminated. All they do is cause grief. people tend to tip smaller with black people. people also tend to tip just the 10%. Tips also can be used against the restaurant. one employee made 5 million on a law suit against the restaurant. also the waiters/waitresses can make up to 4 times the amount the cooks which is no fair to the cooks. that is my opinion why tips should be removed.
Tipping is important for a waiter because they do their best to tip you and if you don't tip them at least a good amount of money then I don't think that's fair at all. People work their butts off to serve you and attend you really good and if you don't tip them good then you shouldn't even be going to eat at restaurants.
leaving a tip shouldn't be that complicated. it states that you should leave a tip for 20 percent of you meal not including drinks. I think this might be a little high because they really don't do all that much work. and what really is the point in tipping its just pointless really. and the article states that the entire staff should share tips. I think this is dumb because if they were giving them to the water for his good service why would he have to share. also if there are a regular customer they also come to see you they enjoy your company. so in conclusion I think tips should stay how they are and should not be split between employees.
