Here's what you need to do today:

  1. Get your folder and notebook.
  2. Review your notes about the five paragraph essay.
  3. Today you will write a rough draft of an essay in Google Drive. You have already done some pre-writing on the essay question (last time).You may use the paragraph you wrote last time to help get you started. It probably is a good base for your intro paragraph.
  4. You may also use the paragraphs you wrote after each article we read. You should have these printed out an in your folder. Do not simply paste some paragraphs together. Make sure they follow the five paragraph essay format, and that everything flows together well.
  5. I will be grading this essay. Even though it is a "rough draft" that doesn't mean that it can be crappy. Please do your best. Use all the things you have learned about writing: sentence variety, academic voice, proofreading, etc. Keep in mind the rubric we use to grade your writing. Do your best to meet those expectations.
